Connor Bedard Caleb Williams jersey

Connor Bedard knew he had to do something to support the Chicago Bears, so it was DoorDash to the rescue.

The Chicago Blackhawks forward wore a brand new Caleb Williams jersey as he arrived at the United Center for the team’s game against the Boston Bruins in support of one of his football counterparts.

"I DoorDashed it before the game (vs. Boston). I was thinking, if they play tomorrow, I wanted to do something. I wanted to order one but obviously it wouldn’t get there the day off, so I DoorDashed that yesterday," Bedard said.

A video of Bedard rocking the orange No. 18 Bears jersey was posted to social media.

On Sunday, the second-seeded Bears are set to host the fifth-seeded Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs at Soldier Field in Chicago. Bedard said he enjoys the relationships forged with athletes in different sports playing in the same city.

"In the (Blackhawks) dynasty and stuff, they had relationships with some of the Bears, some of the Bulls players," he said. "I think that’s pretty cool. So if we can build that a bit. We’re pretty young, I think the Bulls are young. So just little stuff like that, showing support. DJ Moore wore a Blackhawks jersey and the guys were talking about it, like, ‘that’s sweet.’ You appreciate that."

Last week, Williams led the Bears to a comeback victory, defeating the Green Bay Packers, 31-27, after being down 18 points in the first half in the wild card round. It was the quarterback’s first career playoff appearance.

"I’m really pulling hard for them. You just get sucked into it," Bedard said. "I hope they can pull it off."
