The New York Rangers held a lengthy tribute to forward Mika Zibanejad -- and that was just the hair.

Teammates showed up to Madison Square Garden on Monday to celebrate the veteran forward's 1,000th NHL game with long wigs, a nod to Zibanejad's legendary flow.

The team also wore custom blue T-shirts that read "M1KA" inside the Rangers shield and an illustration.

The milestone came against the Ottawa Senators, where Zibanejad spent the first five seasons of his career. He is now in his 10th season with the Rangers.

Zibanejad is just the 22nd Swedish-born player to reach the 1,000 games milestone.

The Rangers honored Zibanejad with an on-ice ceremony before the game. The team hosted his wife, Irma, their daughter, Ella, and his parents, Mehrdad and Ritva.

Ella was decked out in a white sweater with "1000 Zibanejad" on the front and her dad's No. 93 and "Poppa" on the back. Irma did the honors narrating the team's special tribute video.

Rangers teammates presented the family with flowers while giving Zibanejad the customary silver stick, plus a mini stick for Ella.

The team also sprung for a family vacation to Greece in honor of the milestone.
