Ottawa Senators

Jake Sanderson could return in 7-10 days, Senators coach Travis Green said before their 5-2 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. The defenseman has missed the past seven games with an upper-body injury he sustained in a 7-4 win at the Seattle Kraken on March 7. Sanderson has 48 points (11 goals, 37 assists) in 62 games this season and leads Ottawa in time on ice per game (24:49).

New York Rangers

Noah Laba and Urho Vaakanainen are each week to week for the Rangers. Laba, a forward, and Vaakanainen (upper body). a defenseman, were each injured in a 6-3 loss to the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday. ... Goalie Jonathan Quick is day to day with an upper-body injury; the Rangers recalled goalie Dylan Garand from Hartford of the American Hockey League. Garand made his NHL debut against the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday.

Minnesota Wild

Forwards Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek did not play for the Wild in a 2-1 overtime win against the Dallas Stars on Saturday. Kaprizov, who is day to day with a lower-body injury, participated in the morning skate but missed a 2-1 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday. He leads Minnesota with 80 points (38 goals, 42 assists) in 69 games this season. Eriksson Ek (lower body), who also is day to day, missed his third consecutive game. He ranks fourth for the Wild with 44 points (17 goals, 27 assists) in 62 games.

Detroit Red Wings

Dylan Larkin is nearing a return but missed his seventh straight game for the Red Wings on Saturday, a 4-2 loss to the Boston Bruins. "Skated today, improving," Detroit coach Todd McLellan said after the morning skate. … “Pretty soon will be moving into that day-to-day category." Larkin has 55 points (28 goals, 27 assists) in 63 games this season.

San Jose Sharks

Tyler Toffoli is still being evaluated for a lower-body injury and did not play in a 4-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday. The Sharks forward left during the first period of a 5-0 loss to the Sabres on Thursday; San Jose coach Ryan Warsofsky said he is unsure if Tofolli will travel on a three-game road trip that begins at the Nashville Predators on Tuesday. Toffoli has 44 points (18 goals, 26 assists) in 67 games.

Chicago Blackhawks

Anton Frondell will be heading to Chicago “as soon as possible,” coach Jeff Blashill said before the Blackhawks hosted the Nashville Predators on Sunday (3 p.m. ET; FDSNSO, CHSN). The forward will likely be inserted into the lineup as soon as he arrives. Frondell, the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, just finished his season with Djurgardens IF of the Swedish Hockey League, where he had 28 points (20 goals, eight assists) in 43 games. The 18-year-old also had eight points (five goals, three assists) in seven games to lead Sweden to gold at the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship. Asked if Frondell would play with center Connor Bedard, who leads the Blackhawks with 65 points (28 goals, 37 assists), Blashill said, “He’ll be with a good player, for sure.” … Forward Andrew Mangiapane will miss his second consecutive game with an upper-body injury, and forward Sacha Boisvert is still unavailable due to immigration work not yet completed.

Toronto Maple Leafs

Morgan Rielly is day to day with a lower-body injury and did not play Saturday, a 5-2 loss at the Senators. The defenseman has 33 points (nine goals, 24 assists) in 67 games this season. He was replaced in the lineup by defenseman Philippe Myers.

St. Louis Blues

Tyler Tucker is week to week for the Blues because of a lower-body injury. The defenseman was injured in a 2-1 shootout loss against the Calgary Flames on Wednesday and did not play in a 3-1 win at the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday. Tucker has 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) in 61 games this season and is averaging 14:12 of ice time per game. He was replaced by Justin Holl on Saturday.
