More than a dozen veterans representing the Motor City Veterans Hockey Association will attend Thursday's game and sell 50/50 raffle tickets for the Detroit Red Wings Foundation, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the MCVHA.

Fans will have an opportunity to participate in an online auction that features camouflage jerseys and camouflage-taped sticks used by Red Wings players during warm-ups, in addition to Military Appreciation Night pucks. "This Veterans Day, we are once again joining together with Kroger for Military Appreciation Night - encouraging Red Wings fans in the arena and at home to share their support for our nation's heroes."
Military Appreciation Week kicked off on Monday, with 25 veterans from the MCVHA playing in a hockey game on the Little Caesars Arena ice. The organization offers individuals with military affiliation a structured environment to play the game of ice hockey, providing recreational therapy and camaraderie for veterans and their families.
