DETROIT - In conjunction with the Detroit Red Wings' Hockeytown Cares platform, the Red Wings, in partnership with Labatt Blue, will invest $15,000 and 300 volunteer hours to renovate
Clark Park
hockey rink in Southwest Detroit on Friday, August 9. Volunteers from both organizations, along with Labatt Blue Distributor Partner, Fabiano Brothers Inc., will spend the day painting, landscaping and rebuilding the rental skate area.

"Our organization is honored to team up with Labatt Blue and engage in this volunteer project for our friends at the Clark Park Coalition," said Chris Granger, Group President, Sports & Entertainment, Ilitch Holdings, Inc. "The hockey rink at Clark Park is one of just a handful of public facilities in the city of Detroit. The Red Wings remain committed to supporting local rinks and growing the game of hockey in our great city."
"Labatt is a triple bottom line company, which means we measure ourselves on building community partnerships and mitigating the footprints we create when we brew, market and sell beer," said Lauren Christopher, public relations manager, Labatt. "Since we are a Canadian beer brand with deep hockey roots, for us, revitalizing an outdoor hockey rink was a perfect fit. We're excited to work with our friends at the Detroit Red Wings and Fabiano Brothers to give more people access to enjoy the sport we love."
