Mancini and young fan

It didn’t take Victor Mancini long to become a fan favorite in Vancouver.

The Vancouver Canucks defenseman met a young fan who bought his game-used stick after the team’s game against the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday.

Last week, Greyson’s reaction to purchasing Mancini’s game-used stick went viral on social media. The young fan was in awe as he held up the stick that was taller than him.

The video caught the attention of Mancini who invited Greyson and his family to the game on Tuesday.

After the game, the defenseman met Greyson and signed his stick. Greyson then gifted Mancini a stuffed moose in nod to the defenseman’s college nickname.

Greyson also got to ask Mancini some fun hockey questions including the defenseman's favorite chirp and go-to goal celebration.

Mancini was traded to the Canucks from the New York Rangers on Jan. 31. He has played in seven games this season for the Canucks.
