Raddysh with grandma split

There was zero doubt that Darren Raddysh’s 94-year-old grandmother was having a great time at Amalie Arena on Tuesday.

Grandma Lorraine, as she’s affectionately called, was shown smiling and dancing on the big screen at the arena as she watched her grandson and the Tampa Bay Lightning face off against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Oh, and it was her first-ever NHL game.

“Having her here at her first NHL game, it was awesome,” said Raddysh during postgame interviews. “She can’t travel too much, but she was lucky enough to travel down to Tampa from Toronto, so it was a special moment for my family and I.”

Not only did she have a great time dancing at the game, she got to see her grandson’s team record the shutout win.

So, for those keeping track, that puts the Lightning at 1-0 with Grandma Lorraine in attendance.
