Maple Leafs Sick Kids 2024

The Toronto Maple Leafs made their annual visit to The Hospital for Sick Children on Friday and in the process Bobby McMann learned a new dance.

Players showed up, same as every year, to the hospital and hung out with the kids for the day.

The team brought mini sticks and players helped decorate them for the kids.

"It's a very special time of the year, the holidays and definitely very difficult circumstances for many kids and families, what they're going through," said forward John Tavares. "Just to go there and brighten up a moment of their day, take their minds away from what they're going through and how much this city loves their Maple Leafs so it's great to see their reactions, their excitement, how much they talk about watching us on TV and taking some pictures, receiving some gifts and interacting, it's always a lot of fun to take some time and spend it with them."

The highlight of the day for the Leafs may very well have been McMann, who seemed to learn a new dance on the day.

In another clip shared by the Maple Leafs, it shows goalie Joseph Woll who put McMann on the spot.

The facility shared its thanks to the Maple Leafs on social media as well.

"Just obviously trying to leave a good mark on those families and kids there and I think it kind of impacts you as well, said forward Mitch Marner. "You have a lot of fans in there who have a lot of love for you and watch a lot of your games so it's always kind of an emotional fun day and something you look forward to."

"The club has been doing the event for a long, long time, close to 100 years I believe," Tavares said.

Same time next year.
