Flames forward Lomberg gets Stanley Cup ring from Panthers

Veteran shows off new bling, presented to him by some old friends

That is one shiny appetizer.

Calgary Flames forward Ryan Lomberg received his Stanley Cup championship ring on Saturday in a small dinner gathering with some former Florida Panthers teammates.

Lomberg was all smiles as he showed up to see his buddies, who happened to bring along a little present for him. The Panthers shared a video of the meeting on social media.

The veteran forward signed back with the Flames this offseason, where he spent his first two NHL seasons before signing with the Panthers prior to the 2020-21 season, eventually helping Florida to its first Cup in franchise history.

After the hugs and handshakes, Lomberg showed off the ring he earned last season for the camera.

Let's just hope his former teammates didn't stick him with the check.
