Player to watch for point and/or shots on goal in Game 4: Tomas Hertl, F, VGK (at EDM)

The Vegas Golden Knights center had a team-high six SOG, including five at 5-on-5 and was tied for the team-lead with seven shot attempts in Game 3 against the Edmonton Oilers. Hertl’s line with wing Victor Olofsson and wing Pavel Dorofeyev combined for nine SOG and 17 shot attempts in Vegas’ 4-3 overtime win. Olofsson leads the Golden Knights with 25 shot attempts and nine SOG in the series against the Oilers, and Hertl ranks second in SOG (eight) and first in SOG at 5-on-5 (five). Per NHL EDGE stats, Hertl ranks among the leaders at his position this postseason in high-danger SOG (11; 94th percentile), midrange SOG (eight; 89th percentile), high-danger goals (two; 82nd percentile) and total miles skated (25.15; 85th percentile). -- Chris Meaney

The Edmonton Oilers wing leads them in goals (three) and is tied for third in points (four) in their series against the Golden Knights. Perry, who has seven points (five goals, two assists), including two power-play goals in nine postseason games, has at least one point in each game against the Golden Knights in the series and has four goals in seven games against them this season (regular season & Stanley Cup Playoffs combined). Perry (39 years, 359 days) became the oldest player in Oilers history and third-oldest player in NHL history to score a multi-goal game in the Stanley Cup Playoffs (two goals on three shots in Game 3). He continues to play on a line at 5-on-5 and on the first power-play unit with center Connor McDavid (16 points; second in postseason) and forward Leon Draisaitl (15 points; tied for third in Stanley Cup Playoffs). Player to watch for blocked shots in Game 4: Jakob Chychrun, D, WSH (at CAR)

The Washington Capitals defenseman leads them with 25 blocked shots in eight games this postseason and has 10 blocks in three games in the Second Round against the Carolina Hurricanes. Chychrun ranks first in the series in ice time at 5-on-5 (61:45), second in total minutes (72:45) behind teammate John Carlson, and is tied for first on the Capitals with wing Alex Ovechkin in shot attempts (14). The Hurricanes, who lead the Stanley Cup Playoffs in shot attempts percentage (59.5) at 5-on-5, have 256 shot attempts to the Capitals’ 133 through three games in the series, including a massive edge at 5-on-5 (215-104). The Carolina Hurricanes wing led the team's forwards with six shot attempts, all from the slot, in Game 3 against the Washington Capitals and picked up his first point of the Second Round with a power-play assist. Hall, who has four points (one goal, three assists) in eight games this postseason, has never appeared in a Conference Final despite 33 points (15 goals, 18 assists) in 47 Stanley Cup Playoff games. Hall has found chemistry on a line with center Jack Roslovic; both rank in the top 10 among forwards in the Second Round in 5-on-5 shot attempts percentage: Roslovic is seventh (68.0) and Hall is ninth (67.1).
