McDavid reached his top skating speed of the NHL EDGE tracking era (since 2021-22) for the Edmonton Oilers against the Calgary Flames on Oct. 8, 2025, surpassing his previous high of 24.19 mph from the 2023-24 season.
The only top skating speed faster than McDavid's mark in the regular season or Stanley Cup Playoffs since 2021-22 was Miles Wood (24.82 mph) last season. Kleven reached the League's hardest shot for the Ottawa Senators against the New Jersey Devils on Jan. 31, and is tied for 10th among NHL defensemen in 90-plus mph shots (20) this season.
Only four NHL players have recorded multiple 100-plus mph shot attempts this season: Winnipeg Jets defenseman Colin Miller, Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Louis Crevier, New York Islanders defenseman Ryan Pulock (three each) and Boston Bruins forward Morgan Geekie (two).
The hardest shot attempt resulting in a goal came from Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Darren Raddysh (100.13 mph on Nov. 28, 2025). The 29-year-old has three of the top nine hardest shots that resulted in goals this season.

Bertuzzi leads the Blackhawks with 25 goals, including 22 from high-danger zones, this season. The 30-year-old has scored six goals on tips or deflections, which ranks tied for sixth in the entire NHL.
Bertuzzi, who also ranked highly in high-danger goals last season (20; 97th percentile) for Chicago, is one of three players in NHL history with at least one 20-goal season with three Original Six franchises, alongside Roy Conacher and Frank Mahovlich.
High-danger save percentage: .882 - Ilya Sorokin (G, NYI)
Among goalies to play at least 15 games this season, Sorokin leads the NHL in both high-danger saves (315) and high-danger save percentage (315 saves on 357 shots faced). Sorokin stopped all 21 shots he faced against the Philadelphia Flyers on Jan. 26 for his third shutout of the month and League-leading sixth of the season. The 30-year-old has the most shutouts (28) since entering the NHL in 2020-21 and has already set a franchise record in that category.
