Hardest shot attempt: 103.03 miles per hour - Morgan Geekie (F, BOS)
Geekie reached the League's hardest shot for the Boston Bruins against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Nov. 11, 2025 and is tied for sixth in the entire NHL in goals (26) this season.
Geekie, who also had a 100.86 mph shot on Oct. 27, 2025, is one of four NHL players with multiple 100-plus mph attempts this season (two); the others are Winnipeg Jets defenseman Colin Miller, Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Louis Crevier and New York Islanders defenseman Ryan Pulock (three each).
Honorable mention: New York Rangers forward J.T. Miller reached a shot speed of 102.58 mph against the Los Angeles Kings on Jan. 20, marking the third-hardest shot attempt in the entire NHL this season behind Geekie and Pulock (103.01 mph on Nov. 23, 2025). It was the hardest shot by a Rangers player since the start of the NHL EDGE tracking era (since 2021-22) and marks the first time in the tracking era that two forwards have reached shot attempts of at least 102.0 mph in a single season.
Skating speed by forward: 24.61 miles per hour - Connor McDavid (F, EDM)
McDavid reached his top skating speed of the NHL EDGE tracking era (since 2021-22) for the Edmonton Oilers against the Calgary Flames on Oct. 8, 2025, surpassing his previous high of 24.19 mph from the 2023-24 season.
The only top skating speed faster than McDavid's mark in the regular season or Stanley Cup Playoffs since 2021-22 was Miles Wood (24.82 mph) last season. McDavid, who's tied with Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche for the most points (85) in the NHL this season, leads the League in both 22-plus mph speed bursts (95) and 20-plus mph bursts (436) this season.
Skating speed by defenseman: 24.37 mph - Jake Sanderson (D, OTT)
Sanderson reached the top skating speed by a defenseman this season for the Ottawa Senators against the Vancouver Canucks on Jan. 13. Sanderson's mark was the second fastest by a defenseman of the NHL EDGE tracking era (since 2021-22; past five seasons) behind Quinn Hughes (24.56 mph on March 22, 2025).
Sanderson leads defensemen in 22-plus mph speed bursts (26) and is second at the position in 20-plus mph speed bursts (166) behind New York Islanders rookie Matthew Schaefer (178).
High-danger goals: 21 - Tyler Bertuzzi (F, CHI)
Bertuzzi has scored 21 of his 24 goals this season from high-danger zones and has been playing mostly on a line with Connor Bedard this season when the forwards have been healthy. Tampa Bay Lightning forward Jake Guentzel ranks second in high-danger goals (19). Tomas Hertl of the Vegas Golden Knights leads the NHL in high-danger shots on goal (83), with McDavid close behind in second (80).
High-danger save percentage: .875 - Ilya Sorokin (G, NYI)
Among goalies to play at least 15 games this season, Sorokin leads the NHL in high-danger save percentage (273 saves on 312 shots faced). Sorokin, who leads the NHL with five shutouts this season, has the most shutouts in that category (27) since entering the League in 2020-21 and, at 30 years old, has already set a franchise record in that category.
