For the second straight day, the New York Islanders held a scrimmage at Northwell Health Ice Center, integrating the group that did not play on Friday.
"As much as you want to train and do skill drills and stickhandling, nothing really translates to a five on five [game with] NHL pace and contact," Mathew Barzal said. "It was just nice to get out there and in the flow and be feeling situations where you don't have a ton of time and you feel like guys are getting into you contact wise, so it's nice to just get in that rhythm."
Julien Gauthier scored a pair of goals for Team Blue, while Barzal and Fredrik Karlström also finding the back of the net. Bo Horvat, Hudson Fasching, Marc Gatcomb and Liam Foudy scored for Team White.
