ICF History

The Islanders Children’s Foundation (ICF) was created in 2003 as a registered 501 ©️(3) and extension under the leadership of late Islanders owner Charles B. Wang, who had a passion to help children and provide them with the best opportunities to live happy, healthy and successful lives. The Islanders’ current ownership group shares Charles’ values and is committed to being a leader in philanthropic causes and continue to make the ICF a staple in the community. Since its inception the ICF has raised more than $16 million through various events and initiatives to help those in the community. The success of the Islanders Children’s Foundation is a testament to the support of the entire Islanders family (ownership, players, staff, sponsors and fans).

The Summer of 2023 will mark the 20th anniversary of the Foundation.
