The Detroit Red Wings fell, 3-0, to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday night at Scotiabank Arena.

The Red Wings and Maple Leafs played nearly 36 scoreless minutes before the hosts took a 1-0 lead late in the second period. Toronto added two third-period tallies to seal the win, sweeping the season series over Detroit (31-40-10).
Turner Elson made his Winged Wheel debut Tuesday, finishing with 13:02 of ice time. He signed an NHL contract for the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign on Monday.
Red Wings goalie Alex Nedeljkovic made 33 saves.
NEXT UP: Detroit will face the New Jersey Devils on Friday in the regular-season finale for both clubs. Puck drop from the Prudential Center is set for 7 p.m.
