The Detroit Red Wings are making headlines at the 2022 International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship in Finland.

All six of the players who donned the Winged Wheel this season are advancing to the quarterfinal round of the international tournament, which will begin on Thursday in the cities of Tampere and Helsinki.

Take a look at the notable results through the final preliminary-round games of the 17-day competition.

UNITED STATES

Grand Rapids Griffins forward Riley Barber and the U.S. wrapped up the preliminary round with a 3-2-0-2 record (13 points).
Last Thursday, Barber logged 10:19 of ice time in a 3-0 win over Great Britain. The 28-year-old did not skate in last Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over Sweden, or in Monday's 1-0 loss to the Czech Republic.
Barber did play in Tuesday's 4-2 win over Norway, logging the fourth-most minutes (19:14) for the red, white and blue.

The U.S. will face Switzerland in the quarterfinals on Thursday in Helsinki.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Forward Jakub Vrana and defenseman Filip Hronek helped the Czech Republic finish with a preliminary-round record of 4-0-1-2 (13 points).
In last Thursday's 5-1 win over Latvia, Hronek earned a plus-1 rating in 20:09 of ice time while Vrana played 11 minutes. Roughly 48 hours later, Vrana scored a power-play goal while Hronek played 21 solid minutes in a 4-1 win over Norway. Neither Hronek nor Vrana collected a point in Tuesday's 3-0 loss to Finland.
The Czech Republic will play Germany on Thursday in Helsinki.

GERMANY

Powered by defenseman Moritz Seider, Germany enters the quarterfinal round with a 5-0-1-1 record (16 points).
Last Thursday, Detroit's Calder Memorial Trophy finalist played a team-leading 22 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Denmark. The next day, Seider registered 15:04 of ice time in a 9-4 win over Italy.

The 21-year-old tallied two assists in a 5-4 win over Kazakhstan on Sunday, then added a helper in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to Switzerland.

SWEDEN

Goalie Magnus Hellberg and Sweden wrapped up the preliminary round with a 5-1-1-0 record (18 points), good for second overall in Group B.
Hellberg did not play against the U.S., but he made 19 saves the following day in a 7-1 win over Norway. The Red Wings' recently signed netminder did not play in Tuesday's 1-0 win over Latvia.
Sweden will play Canada on Thursday in Tampere.

SWITZERLAND

Forward Pius Suter has been a steady presence on offense for his native country, leading Switzerland to a 6-1-0-0 record (20 points) to win Group A.

After collecting a goal and an assist in last Saturday's 6-3 win over Canada, Suter registered 16:43 of ice time in Sunday's 5-2 win over France. He scored his third goal of the World Championship in Tuesday's win over Germany, to finish the preliminary round with eight points in seven games.
