Best in Class
 

The Detroit Red Wings Best in Class program, presented by Coca-Cola Zero Sugar and Meijer, shows gratitude to Michigan teachers and educators who change the lives of millions of children every day, inside and outside the classroom.

Throughout the 2024-25 season, 75 teachers will be recognized through our Best in Class program. Fans are encouraged to click below and complete the form to nominate a teacher who they feel has a significant impact on the lives of children in their community.

Awards and Prizes
Selected teachers will receive an award, a complimentary pregame dinner at Little Caesars Arena, and two tickets to a preselected Red Wings home game. In April, one teacher will be selected as our Best in Class grand prize winner, receiving a $5,000 grant and a postgame meet and greet with a Detroit Red Wings player!

Who Can Be Nominated
A nominee for the Best in Class program must be an individual educator in Michigan who has improved student achievement, used innovative strategies in the classroom, or is making a difference in the lives of their students.

Michigan K-12 educators in all disciplines are eligible for nomination. The Red Wings, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, and Meijer will review all nominations and select 25 teachers to honor at the game on the following dates:

  • October 10, 2024
  • January 14, 2025
  • March 4, 2025
