The Even Strength Girls Learn to Play program is designed to ensure a positive experience for girls new to hockey. It provides girls with a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment to learn the basics of hockey.
Led by a certified coach and supported by players from the MacEwan Griffins women’s hockey team, this program is designed for beginner hockey players and focuses on developing essential skills. Participants will learn and practice key techniques such as skating, stickhandling, shooting, positioning, and more.
The Edmonton Oilers offers yearly Girls Learn to Play sessions at the Downtown Community Arena. This program is open to all girls ages 12 - 17 who are new to hockey. The registration fee is $150 which includes:
