Crosby, Karlsson greeted by Storm Troopers on Penguins Star Wars Night

Defenseman startled, says he was ready to take the hit for captain

Sidney Crosby and Erik Karlsson never even sensed a disturbance in the force as they entered PPG Paints Arena.

As part of the Pittsburgh Penguins "Star Wars" night, the team had some dressed up Storm Troopers waiting in the tunnel as players walked toward the locker room.

The unexpected greeting startled Karlsson a bit.

"Whoa, I got so scared," Karlsson could be heard saying in the video.

"What's going on?" Crosby asked the characters before smiling for the camera.

Karlsson joked he was ready to take the hit for Crosby in case the Storm Troopers attacked.

Don't worry about them fellas, even if they had their blasters on them they have legendarily bad aim.
