Ray Shero decals

The Pittsburgh Penguins and New Jersey Devils honored Ray Shero in a heartfelt way on Friday.

Both teams sported a special helmet sticker in memory of the longtime NHL executive during their matchup at the Prudential Center in New Jersey.

Shero, who was serving as senior advisor to Minnesota Wild general manager Bill Guerin, died on Wednesday at age 62.

The decals had “Ray” written in the middle with the words “father,” “husband,” “friend” and “legend” printed around it.

Shero was the former general manager of both the Penguins, from 2006-2014, and the Devils, from 2015-2020. He was the architect of the Penguins 2009 Stanley Cup championship team.
