Team shows love for quarterback during player arrivals

Love was in the air at TD Garden on Saturday.

The Boston Bruins sported “I [heart] Drake Maye” shirts in support of the New England Patriots quarterback before their game against the Montreal Canadiens.

Maye and the Patriots will face the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver on Sunday afternoon.

Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman proudly showed off the viral black T-shirt under his jacket during player arrivals.

The Maye shirts have become a staple at sporting events in the New England area with fans giving standing ovations when someone wearing the shirts is featured on the arena video board.

Maye has put on an MVP performance this season, leading the Patriots to a 14-3 record to win the AFC East division title and led the NFL with a 72.0 completion percentage. His 4,394 passing yards ranked fourth and 31 touchdowns ranked third to end the regular season.
