Blue Jays Guerrero Jr. rocks Poulin 'Captain Clutch' Canada jersey to Game 7 of World Series

When you are heading into a Game 7, you summon all the clutch you can.

Toronto Blue Jays All-Star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. entered Rogers Centre on Saturday for Game 7 of the World Series wearing the jersey of Team Canada captain Marie-Philip Poulin, known in the country as "Captain Clutch."

Poulin, the captain of both the Canadian Women's National Team and the Montreal Victorie of the PWHL, is best known for scoring the golden goal in three different Olympic Games (2010, 2014 and 2022) for Canada and also netting the winner at the 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship. She was named IIHF Female Player of the Year in 2025.

But this jersey was no replica. The Blue Jays stated on social media that the sweater Guerrero opted for before taking on the Los Angeles Dodgers for all the marbles was indeed no ordinary one off the shelf.

The Maple Leafs also showed some support for the Blue Jays, wearing their gear ahead of Saturday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Regardless of what happens after the game, Guerrero certainly made the right choice before it.
