NEW YORK – Utah Hockey Club forward Jack McBain has been fined $4,166.67, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for high-sticking Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher during NHL Game No. 704 in Utah on Tuesday, Jan. 14, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 0:16 of the second period. McBain was assessed a minor penalty for high-sticking.
The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
