June 30, 2013 -With the 15th overall pick, the Islanders selected Ryan Pulock at the 2013 NHL Entry Draft hosted at the Prudential Center in New Jersey.
Upon being drafted, Pulock returned to finish his final season in the WHL for the Brandon Wheat Kings. In his last season of junior hockey, Pulock posted 63 points (23G, 40A) throughout 66 games and helped lead the Wheat Kings to the conference semifinals of the WHL Playoffs. During that run, Pulock compiled four points and scored twice through nine games.
