
Meet The 2025-26 NHL Power Players
Barrett Beimdiek
Age 18 | St. Louis, MO
Barrett is a returning Power Player from St. Louis, Missouri, where he grew up playing hockey and cheering on the St. Louis Blues with his father, a lifelong player who introduced him to the sport. He is a senior at St. Louis Priory School and has played varsity hockey all four years, in addition to competing on club teams. Additionally, Barrett is a USA Hockey Level 4 official and has worked top-level games in his area over the past five years.
Outside of hockey, Barrett enjoys golfing and managing his school’s Sports Media Club, where he helps with athletic communications, manages athletics social media pages, and organizes events such as his team's Hockey Fights Cancer series. He hopes to use this opportunity with the NHL to prepare for a career in Sports Management and is excited to grow the game among his peers while developing important skills for the future.
Sarah Berube
Age 17 | Warwick, RI
Sarah Berube is a passionate Boston sports fan and despite never playing hockey, she loves the Boston Bruins more than any other Boston team.
A natural leader, Sarah captains her high school’s varsity basketball team and excels in varsity soccer, lacrosse, and softball. Her athletic versatility reflects not just talent, but a relentless work ethic and competitive spirit.
Off the court and fields, with aspirations of being a sports content creator she spends her free time making videos, editing clips, and reading stat lines. Her creative instincts and strategic mindset fuel her growing presence in digital media.
With ambitions to freelance in sports media, Sarah is determined to turn her passion into impact. She is eager to build on her diverse experiences, deepen her understanding of the industry, and learn as much as she can in her second year as an NHL Power Player.
Kaitlyn Bligh
Age 15 | Manalapan Township, NJ
Kaitlyn is a 15-year-old sophomore at Manalapan High School in New Jersey who thrives in balancing academics, athletics, leadership, and service. A first-degree black belt in Taekwondo, she is training for her second degree and volunteers as an instructor, finding fulfillment in mentoring younger students.
At school, Kaitlyn is on the field hockey team, competes as a hurdler on the track team, and serves as a student manager for the varsity ice hockey team. These roles have taught her perseverance, teamwork, and dedication. She also contributes to Bravecast, the school’s broadcasting program, sports division, helping build school spirit.
Her commitment to service spans nine years in Girl Scouts, where she has organized food drives and cancer awareness efforts. She is also a member of the Mini Misfits acting troupe, performing antibullying plays for elementary schools, combining her love of acting with a mission to promote kindness.
Kaitlyn’s passion for hockey runs deep. A lifelong New York Rangers fan, she follows the sport at every level and recently visited the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. Kaitlyn is excited about the incredible opportunity to work with the NHL Power Players and have a voice in the sport she loves!
Loki Brown
Age 16 | Munhall, PA
Loki Brown, a second year Power Player, is a Junior dance major at Westinghouse Arts Academy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is a fervid student, being involved in many activities including serving as president of his school’s NHSDA chapter and playing clarinet as woodwind captain in his marching band. In and out of school, he is very involved in the performing arts, having worked with multiple professional theater and ballet companies as a stage manager and plans to pursue a career in this field. As well as Stage Management and watching hockey, dance and figure skating are what Loki spends the most time doing.
Loki has been a hockey fan since before he can remember. He is a lifelong Pittsburgh Penguins season ticket holder and even sat in the Stanley Cup when the Penguins won it all in 2009. Loki is excited to continue bringing other people the joy hockey brings him as well as trying to make the sport more inclusive.
Parker Dillon
Age 15 | Coral Springs, FL
Parker Dillon, a 15-year-old sophomore from South Florida, is an avid hockey fan whose passion for the sport began at an early age when his parents first introduced him to the game. Captivated by its energy, speed, and strategy, he developed a connection to hockey that blends excitement, dedication, and career aspirations.
Beyond being a spectator, Parker stays active in the sport through street hockey, VR hockey, and ice skating. As a passionate hockey fan, he has built an impressive collection of gear, sticks, and jerseys (24 and counting). Parker has a goal of visiting all 32 NHL arenas and has attended games in Sunrise, Las Vegas, Dallas, Chicago, and Tampa.
In addition to hockey, Parker is dedicated to making a positive impact on his community. He volunteers with food drives, animal shelters, and Everglades preservation programs. He enjoys traveling to new places, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends. He is eager to pursue his passion for sports marketing and finance, with the goal of helping to grow the NHL. As a first-year member of the NHL Power Players, Parker is excited and ready to inspire the next generation of fans and expand the game he loves.
Aiden Dunlop
Age 17 | Airdrie, AB
Aiden is in his final year of high school and graduating this spring. Growing up, he played just about every sport, but his first big passion was soccer, where he spent six years competing as a goalkeeper. At 14, he made the bold switch to hockey, a sport he had always loved as a fan of the Calgary Flames. Even though he started later than most, Aiden’s determination and skill quickly shone through. Since then, he has helped his team capture two banners, reach a championship series, and earn the role of assistant captain thanks to his leadership both on and off the ice.
When he is not playing, Aiden combines his love of sports with creativity behind the camera. His talent for sports photography has given him the chance to capture school events and work with local players and teams, turning great moments into lasting memories. Looking ahead, he hopes to bring his passions together by staying connected to the game through photography and media.
As part of the Power Player program, Aiden is excited to meet others who share his enthusiasm for hockey, gain new experiences, and learn as much as possible to help shape his future in the sport he loves.
Zoey Green
Age 13 | Bozeman, MT
Zoey Green, from Bozeman, Montana, loved hockey from the moment she first stepped on the ice. She learned to skate in Los Angeles at the Kings’ training center, played travel hockey in Michigan, and now competes in Montana. Each place has taught her something new: the energy of big-city programs, the intensity of Midwest hockey, and the close-knit community of Montana’s rinks.
Now in eighth grade, Zoey represents Montana on the inaugural 14U AA Girls’ hockey team, the Wolves, and plays for the Bozeman Ice Dogs Boys’ Bantam team. She helps her dad coach her younger sister’s team and treasures the way hockey brings her family together. With no professional team in her home state, Zoey proudly roots for the Vegas Golden Knights and dreams of watching the Knights play on their home ice.
Outside the rink, Zoey is a multi-sport athlete who enjoys lacrosse, volleyball, and skiing. She is a Rotary Merit Scholar, an avid reader, and sings in her school choir. Known for her leadership, quick wit, and love of a good dad joke, she brings positivity, energy, and fun to her classmates, teammates, and friends on and off the ice.
Hailey Howard
Age 16 | Woodstock, GA
Hailey is a Junior at River Ridge High School in Woodstock, Georgia. She is a passionate student involved in various activities like cheerleading, Student Government Association, National Beta Club, and DECA. She also plays and coaches at her local roller hockey organization at Cherokee Hockey In-Line League. She is currently studying Sports and Entertainment Marketing and hopes to pursue a career in this field.
Outside of school, Hailey enjoys social media management, sports photography, acting, and dancing. She is also active in volunteering at local schools, community arts organizations, and being her state’s lead for AndOneSports.
Hailey is super excited for her second season as an NHL Power Player. She is looking forward to another year of learning and finding new ways to make the sport more inclusive. Despite living in an area where hockey is not prevalent, she is looking to encourage more people to get involved in her local youth hockey community so she can inspire the next generation of players and fans!
Sophie Knakal
Age 16 | Manhasset, NY
Sophie is a junior at Manhasset High School on Long Island, New York. Born and raised in New York City, she became a New York Rangers fan as a toddler attending games at Madison Square Garden with her father, a lifelong fan. Their shared love of hockey grew stronger over the years.
At age 8, Sophie began traveling with her parents across the U.S. and Canada to visit NHL arenas. Many family vacations revolved around hockey, and she has now cheered in twenty of the league’s thirty-two arenas. At age 9, she became a Rangers season ticket holder and is well known at MSG.
At 14, after years of skating and hockey training, Sophie joined the New York City Cyclones as a winger, playing 16UAA. She loved competing, developing leadership, dedication, and discipline, while making lifelong friends. Her efforts were recognized when she earned the team’s “Most Improved Player” award.
Sophie has also excelled academically. She graduated middle school as valedictorian and continues to maintain a straight-A average in high school.
Looking ahead, Sophie plans to study Sport Management in college and pursue a career working for the NHL.
Eric Koerner
Age 17 | Eagan, MN
Eric Koerner, a native Minnesotan, grew up as an avid hockey fan. Watching his favorite team, the Minnesota Wild, sparked his love for the game. He began his career with the Little Wild Program and gravitated to the goaltender position after two years of play. This year will be his 12th season of hockey and his 10th between the pipes.
Off the rink, Eric is a junior at Eagan High School and plays on the high school hockey team. He is a drum major for the Varsity Band and participates in Concert and Jazz band. He is avidly involved in Student Council, Spanish Club, and volunteering in the community. In his free time, he plays pickleball or volleyball with friends, creates digital media, and dabbles in the kitchen. He has been on five mission trips, which have allowed him to work side by side with members of the community across the nation.
Now in his second year as a Power Player, Eric is excited to collaborate with fellow board members to grow youth engagement in hockey and shape the future of the game.
Aubrey Lang
Age 16 | Minneapolis, MN
Aubrey Lang, from Richfield, Minnesota, is a passionate Minnesota Wild fan and a high school hockey player at The Breck School. She has competed in tournaments nationwide and participated in major events such as the NHL Winter Classic, Willie O’Ree Skills Weekend, and the Amerigol LATAM International Hockey Tournament. Aubrey is also deeply dedicated to growing the game of hockey and expanding access through her volunteer work with the Minnesota Wild and Mosaic Hockey Collective—a nonprofit she helped start with her mom.
Off the ice, Aubrey enjoys reading, international travel, and making new friends. At school, she serves as the Student Relations Representative on student council, helping promote school and community events.
While Aubrey aspires to work for a professional hockey team, she also plans to earn her commercial pilot’s license. She actively participates in youth programs that introduce students to aerospace careers.
This year marks her second season with the NHL Power Players program, where she is excited to collaborate with peers on expanding the NHL fanbase across all demographics.
Eva Liguori
Age 14 | New York, NY
Eva is a fifteen-year-old New Yorker and lifelong Islanders fan whose deep love for hockey comes from the heart. For her, hockey is about loyalty, community, and the electric feeling of being part of something bigger than yourself. Whether she is cheering in the stands, yelling at the TV with her dad, or introducing friends to the game, Eva brings energy and heart to everything she does.
Though she doesn’t play hockey herself, Eva is no stranger to the world of sports: she’s trained in mixed martial arts since age 3, earned a black belt when she was 12 years old, and serves as the Captain of the Leadership Team, mentoring younger students. At Friends Seminary, she played varsity softball as a freshman and manages the girls’ varsity basketball team.
Eva is also passionate about equality and representation in sports – from teaching self-defense to combat Asian hate to interning at the historic Taylor-Serrano all-women’s boxing event at MSG. She is thrilled to join the NHL Power Players and is excited to help make hockey more inclusive, engaging, and fun for her generation.
Kade McKeever
Age 16 | Vienna, VA
Kade, a junior from Falls Church, Virginia, is a lifelong Capitals fan whose love for hockey started through his dad—an avid Rangers fan. But he was fueled by the Predators while living outside of Nashville in his early years and sustained through the last decade by attending Capitals’ games. While he enjoys all aspects of the sport, he is especially drawn to goalies. Logan Thompson, Braden Holtby, and Anthony Stolarz are a few of his favorites, and he is known for always having fun facts ready about one of them. His admiration for goalies even inspired him to play the position for his school’s field hockey team.
Outside of hockey, Kade keeps busy with orchestra, wrestling, and field hockey. He is also an active member of the Crochet Club and Formula 1 Club. When he is not at practice or rehearsal, he is baking with his mom, hanging out with friends and family, or heading to a concert.
His passion for hockey goes beyond the rink, as he hopes to pursue a career in the sport one day. Whether at the bench or behind the scenes, he is committed to staying close to the game that is shaped so much of who he is.
Jocelyn McPherson
Age 16 | Scarborough, ON
Jocelyn McPherson is a 17-year-old International Baccalaureate student at Père Philippe Lamarche High School in Toronto, Ontario. Bilingual in English and French, Jocelyn is a dedicated Toronto Maple Leafs fan with a deep passion for hockey and sports of all kinds. She plays hockey recreationally and is also a competitive curler on the Ontario circuit, a varsity athlete in track and field, and a flag football player for both her school and a club team. Jocelyn also serves as a referee for a local youth flag football league.
An accomplished student, she is a multi-time Waterloo math contest award winner and has studied piano since age six. She organised her school’s music club and helped establish an entrepreneurial club that went on to win a French-language business fair.
Jocelyn hopes to pursue a degree in Kinesiology and eventually work to make hockey more accessible and inclusive for girls. Through the NHL Power Players program, she is excited to bring her ideas and leadership to the table, connecting her love for the game with her desire to drive positive change in the sport.
Jason Meyers
Age 17 | Delray Beach, FL
Jason, a senior and first-year Power Player from Florida, is a lifelong Rangers fan. He has been playing hockey since age six and currently plays varsity hockey at North Broward Preparatory School, which has proudly won the state championship four years in a row. He is also a USA Hockey Level 4 Official and works top-level games & tournaments in South Florida.At school, Jason is an IB diploma candidate with a strong dedication to his academics. He has combined his love of learning with a passion for giving back, founding BigKidStoryTime, a club where high school students read to kindergarten and first-grade classrooms to promote a love of reading. He also launched Books4LittleWarriors, an initiative that delivers new books to local children’s hospitals.
Jason is excited about becoming a Power Player, where he looks forward to contributing ideas to expand the NHL’s fanbase and engage the next generation of fans.
Brooklyn North
Age 17 | Lewisville, TX
Brooklyn did not grow up as a hockey fan, but she is now the reigning superfan of her household. She is a homeschooled senior from the DFW area. She first discovered hockey in 2018, but her passion only truly took off after witnessing Jason Robertson’s NHL debut. In the past two years, her love for the game has skyrocketed. Now, she can be found watching anything from the Flames to the Penguins, some of her favorites being the Canucks, Islanders, and Sharks—but her loyalty lies with the Dallas Stars.
Beyond hockey, Brooklyn enjoys theater, art (especially crochet and drawing), and reading—and she can recite Thomas Harley’s career stats from memory. She also runs a hockey blog and is in the planning process of a podcast about the sport.
She has been a member of the Delta Kappa chapter of the Homeschool National Honor Society for 3 years, serving on its board last year. She has won two different solo theater awards, can hold her own in an ASL conversation, and dabbles in French.
Her biggest goal is to make hockey more accessible for children with special needs and disabilities. Brooklyn is thrilled to be an NHL Power Player in her final year of high school!!
Matthew Olaya
Age 16 | Clifton, NJ
Matthew is a 16-year-old Power Player based in Northern New Jersey. An aspiring sports journalist, he recently worked with the Centre for Sport and Human Rights and New Jersey Youth Soccer. Matthew is a junior at Passaic County Technical Institute who earned awards in statewide and national media competitions as a representative of his school.
Matt grew up enjoying many sports, including soccer and football, but did not have a strong interest in hockey. However, he subsequently developed a passion for hockey and his local team, the New Jersey Devils, by playing EA SPORTS NHL 21 on his gaming console. He now attends multiple Devils games each season and admires the sense of community the team has built in Northern New Jersey. As a Power Player, Matt aims to bring a greater sense of physical and digital community to teams across the NHL, like what he has experienced in soccer and motorsports.
Niam Patel
Age 14 | Tampa, FL
Niam is a freshman at Tampa Preparatory School in Tampa, Florida, and a lifelong hockey fan of the Tampa Bay Lightning. For the last eight years, Niam has played hockey for the Tampa Bulls and has been a dedicated hockey player since then.
Recognizing that the cost of equipment is a major barrier for many young athletes, Niam founded HockeyXchange, a nonprofit that collects and redistributes lightly used hockey gear to families in need. Through HockeyXchange, Niam has partnered with local rinks, Boys & Girls Clubs, and the Tampa Bay Lightning Community Hockey department to make the sport more accessible. His efforts have already helped more than a hundred players get properly fitted equipment and stay involved in the game they love. Outside the rink, Niam is passionate about giving back, using hockey as a tool to build teamwork, confidence, and inclusiveness among youth.
Niam is excited about the opportunity to serve as an NHL Power Player and bring what he can to help grow the game for the next generation.
Benjamin Prins
Age 15 | Kitchener, ON
Ben, who is from Kitchener Ontario, first laced up his skates at the age of two and has continued to passionately play hockey since. Ben is a dedicated athlete who enjoys many sports including long-distance running, soccer and of course hockey. He can often be found running but his favourite sport remains hockey.
Ben is a diehard Toronto Maple Leafs fan and makes sure to proudly cheer them on through the ups and downs. He currently plays hockey for the U16 Kitchener Jr. Rangers as a forward. His two younger siblings also play with one being a defense and the other one a goalie - the perfect combo for their annual backyard rink games. You can also find Ben refereeing both hockey and soccer around his local community. Outside of sports, Ben likes recording and editing his own footage, collecting hockey cards and memorabilia, camping and hiking, and volunteering at local camps and events.
Now entering his first year on the NHL Power Players board, Benjamin is eager to share his big ideas and collaborate with fellow board members to share the game he loves so much!
Isabel Thomson
Age 16 | Victoria, BC
Isabel Thomson is a 16-year-old senior at St. Michael’s University School. She was born in Edmonton, Alberta and has been skating since she was three. Moving to Victoria, British Columbia at the age of eleven she stayed a loyal Edmonton Oilers fan.
Isabel grew up playing every sport, but hockey is the one that stuck. She is a left winger for the Victoria Reign and loves watching sports documentaries and NHL and PWHL games in her spare time. Outside of the rink, she plays on her school’s varsity field hockey and rugby teams and takes on leadership roles as both an Outdoor Leader and Link Leader.
She is very excited to join the Power Players Youth Advisory Board, where she looks forward to sharing her ideas on making hockey more accessible and creating new ways to engage young fans. Looking ahead, she hopes to study business at university and ultimately end up working in sports.
Peyton Tigchelaar
Age 17 | Vancouver, BC
Peyton Tigchelaar is a senior at Crofton House School in Vancouver, BC. Initially from California, Peyton started playing hockey in the San Jose Sharks "Learn to Play" program when she was seven, and she has been a competitive forward ever since. Despite moving to Vancouver, she has remained a dedicated Sharks fan but also cheers for the Canucks. In addition to playing hockey, Peyton coaches, referees, and works for the Vancouver Canucks.
Off-ice, Peyton is a school ambassador, plays saxophone in concert band, and participates in art and STEM. Peyton has also played field hockey, softball, ball hockey, and ringette, and keeps busy with her veterinary assistant and volunteer work. Otherwise, her life is hockey-centric, watching NHL, AHL, or college hockey, collecting memorabilia, and attending the NHL draft.
Peyton is an enthusiastic advocate for race and gender equality. She was recently recruited to coach BIPOC female hockey players in Toronto. She taught them technique but is most proud about helping them navigate racism and sexism through confidence, empathy, and respect.
In her first year as a Power Player, Peyton is excited to share her passion for hockey and her ideas to grow hockey and make it accessible to everyone.
Kailyn Tucker
Age 17 | Thornton, CO
Kailyn Tucker is from Thornton, Colorado, and bleeds Avalanche burgundy and blue. Hockey season is sacred in her family, and Ball Arena is a second home during the season. When she is not cheering on her favorite team, Kailyn is in the pool. She is a competitive swimmer, having competed in the high school state finals for the last two years, and works as a lifeguard and assistant swim coach.
If she is not in the pool, she is on the sidelines taking pictures for her school sports teams, reading a book, or traveling with her family. Kailyn gives back to the community through her volunteer work at A Precious Child, including a memorable experience with Milan Hejduk, and her role as a student ambassador.
Her ultimate goal? To be the person behind the scenes making game day happen. With a deep passion for hockey and sports media, she plans to major in communications with a minor in media studies. She is excited to bring her passion and ideas for increasing fan engagement to the NHL Power Players this year.
Zoe VonDerLinn
Age 16 | Rochester, NY
Zoe is a Senior at Penfield High School. A lifelong Sabres fan, she often attends games in Buffalo and goes to Rochester Americans games as well to see up-and-coming Sabres talent. When she is not watching NHL, AHL, or college hockey, Zoe is the team videographer for Penfield HS Varsity Hockey. She also enjoys playing varsity golf and softball, working on student council, and volunteering in her community. As a catcher for the Rochester Lady Lions Showcase softball team, Zoe has played in tournaments in several states and Canada. Her fondest softball memory is winning the NY State Little League Championship in 2019.
Zoe’s dream is to work on the business side of pro sports, ideally in the NHL, and she plans to study Sports Management in college. Her desire to learn as much as she can about the business of sports prompted her to create an Advisory Board, where she gains valuable monthly mentorship from professionals who work for several pro teams.
A 2024 HOBY Leadership Award winner, Zoe enjoys working to guide positive change. She looks forward to collaborating with her fellow Power Players to improve NHL hockey, especially in under-served communities that have not yet been exposed to the game.
