“Community Artist Series” Jerseys and Merchandise

The first installment of the Community Artist Series between the Sabres and the AKG Buffalo Art Museum is designed by legendary Seneca artist G. Peter Jemison.

Jemison’s take on the Sabres logo – which you can read about here – will be featured on a set of practice jerseys which are available for auction now through Sunday, Nov. 23 at 9 p.m. All proceeds from the auction will benefit Western Door Hockey.

Merchandise featuring the logo will also be available in the Sabres store.

Learn more about Jemison and his logo in the below video feature.

Native American Heritage Sweepstakes

Fans can enter here to win one of the aforementioned Native American Heritage Night jerseys designed by G. Peter Jemison along with a pair of beaded earrings created by Mohawk artist Nancy Washburn.

Entertainment

Frank Wesaw, a Native American dance group, will perform from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. inside the KeyBank Center entrance, near the ground-level box office. The performance “is rooted in the rich traditions of the Haudenosaunee and reflects the energy, beauty and spirit of the Seneca culture through dance and song.”

Jeremey Keyes Band will be the house band for the night, playing Chicago-style blues pregame and during intermissions.

Honorary Color Guard

American Legion Iroquois Post 1587 will serve as color guard for the national anthem.
