Buffalo re-signs Luukkonen

The Sabres agreed to terms with goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen on a five-year contract worth an average annual value of $4.75 million. Read more.

Jokiharju returns on 1-year deal worth $3.1 million

The Sabres re-signed Jokiharju, who had 20 points (3+17) in 74 games last season while leading the team with a plus-14 rating. The 25-year-old returns for his sixth season in Buffalo. Read more.

Sabres acquire McLeod and Tullio from Edmonton

Buffalo acquired forwards Ryan McLeod and Tyler Tullio from the Edmonton Oilers on Friday in exchange for forward Matt Savoie. McLeod played a key role in the faceoff circle and on the penalty kill for the Oilers while recording 30 points (12+18) in 81 games last season. Read more.

Colton Poolman signs 1-year, 2-way deal worth $775,000

The left-shot defenseman had six points (3+3) in 66 games last season with the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers. Read more.

James Reimer signs 1-year deal worth $1 million

The Sabres bolstered their depth at goaltender by signing the 14-year veteran, who had a .904 save percentage and two shutouts for Detroit last season. Read more.

Sabres sign 5 players to two-way contracts

The Sabres shored up organizational depth by signing forward Josh Dunne to a two-year, two-way contract with an annual average value of $775,000 while forwards Brett Murray and Mason Jobst, defenseman Jack Rathbone, and goaltender Felix Sandstrom all signed one-year, two-way deals worth $775,000. Dennis Gilbert signs 1-year contract worth $825,000

The Buffalo native played for St. Joe's Collegiate Institute and the Buffalo Junior Sabres prior to a three-year career at Notre Dame. He has 12 fights in 82 career NHL games. Read more.

Nicolas Aube-Kubel signs 1-year contract worth $1.5 million

The Sabres continued to add physicality to the roster in Aube-Kubel, who ranked fifth on the Capitlas last season with 159 hits and led the team with an average of 13.02 hits per 60 minutes. Read more.

Jacob Bryson returns on 1-year contract worth $900,000

The Sabres re-signed the 26-year-old defenseman, who returns for a sixth season with the organization. He had eight points in 36 games with Buffalo last season. Read more.

Sam Lafferty joins on 2-year deal with an AAV of $2 million

The 29-year-old centerman had 24 points last season and ranked third on the Canucks with 192 hits. Read more.

Jason Zucker signs 1-year deal worth $5 million

The 32-year-old forward has eclipsed 20 goals in six different seasons, including a 27-goal campaign with Pittsburgh in 2022-23. He had 14 goals and 32 points last season for Arizona and Nashville. Read more.

Sabres extend qualifying offers to 4 players

The Sabres extended qualifying offers to forwards Peyton Krebs and Beck Malenstyn, defenseman Henri Jokiharju, and goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. The four players can either accept the qualifying offers or continue to negotiate new contracts with the team. Read more.

Sabres buy out Jeff Skinner’s contract

The Sabres bought out the remaining three years of forward Jeff Skinner’s contract. The move provided the organization with additional cap space on the eve of free agency. Read more.

Sabres acquire Beck Malenstyn from Capitals

Buffalo acquired the physical, 6-foot-3 winger on the morning of Day 2 at the NHL Draft in exchange for a second-round pick. The 26-year-old played 81 games for Washington last season in a heavily defensive role, ranking fifth among NHL forwards in shorthanded time on ice and first on the Capitals in hits. Read more.

Sabres re-sign Kale Clague to 1-year deal

The 26-year-old returns for a third season with the organization after ranking second among Rochester defensemen with 20 assists last season. He played three games for Buffalo in 2023-24. Read more.
