The Buffalo Sabres have partnered with WNY Heroes and their Pawsitive for Heroes program and are excited to introduce Audie, a Great Dane as the Sabres team dog for the 2024-25 season. Following in the pawsteps of previous team dogs Blue, Nikki and Rick, Audie will complete part of her service dog training through attending select home games and interacting with Sabres players and fans before being paired with her veteran.

Pawsitive for Heroes launched in 2014 and pays for service dog training with the help WNY Heroes receives from its sponsors. The dogs and their owners go through various courses together, properly preparing the dogs to serve those who've served.
