Colorado forward Nathan MacKinnon skated around Vegas defenseman Shea Theodore in the left circle and powered to the net, but was denied by the left pad of Hart with 3:47 left.
Avalanche coach Jared Bednar left the game in the third period after being hit in the head with a deflected puck, and defenseman Josh Manson left the game at 17:17 of the second period with an upper-body injury and didn’t return.
