Throw out the Xs and Os and join Short Shifts for our own weekly power rankings. What is our criteria? Whatever makes us smile, laugh, cry or any other wholesome feeling. This list is updated every Friday with our top moments of the week.

A.J. Greer had the best arrival outfit at Amerant Bank Arena on Thursday. The Florida Panthers forward wore a suit featuring drawings from patients at Joe Dimaggio Children’s Hospital before the team’s game against the Boston Bruins. On Wednesday, Greer brought the white suit to the hospital and asked the patients to decorate it for him.

Ranking: A+ fashion statement

First, there was a puck lodged into a skate, now there was a stick. Dallas Stars forward Adam Erne managed to get a stick stuck in his skate during the team’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday. Erne laid on the ice as a ref attempted to dislodge the stick from the skate. The ref first tried to get it out handle first, but when that didn’t work he was able to maneuver the blade out and free Erne.

Ranking: Delay of game

Ryan Reaves had the highest praise for Macklin Celebrini on Wednesday. The San Jose Sharks veteran joined Celebrini’s postgame interview with the NHL on TNT crew and answered what it was like watching the young Shark’s impressive season. “It’s like watching a god on ice,” Reaves said with a smile which earned a laugh from Celebrini. “It’s fun to watch. It’s crazy the stuff he can do at 19. You know, I’ll be honest though, half my interviews this year have been about him, it’s starting to wear on me a little bit,” Reaves added.

Cale Makar knows how to get under Gabriel Landeskog’s skin. The Colorado Avalanche defenseman was revealed as the team’s biggest prankster by his teammates in a video posted to social media this week. Makar’s biggest target: the Avalanche captain. Landeskog opened up about some of the prank’s Makar has pulled on him including a small chirping bird toy the defenseman placed in the Avalanche captain’s car, which his family named Steve. “He’s attacked me, he’s attacked my family, my personal property…he’s immature,” Landeskog said in the video.

5. Jacob Markstrom's son, Clark, and Connor Brown

Clark Markstrom just wanted to make sure Connor Brown saw the leaf. In an adorable video, the toddler called out to “Brownie” who was on the New Jersey Devils practice ice looking for Easter eggs. “There’s a leaf over there,” Clark yelled out from behind the bench and pointed to the leaf on Canada’s flag.
