Luongo on the drum

Another opportunity to clinch the Stanley Cup at home means only one thing for the Florida Panthers: Roberto Luongo bangs the drum.

Last season, the Hockey Hall of Fame goalie had the honor before Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final, getting things going on the night the Panthers won the franchise's first-ever championship.

This year, Luongo's opportunity came in Game 6 at Amerant Bank Arena.

Met with a loud cheer from Panthers fans in attendance, Luongo – rocking a Panthers jersey, of course – got everyone fired up with another enthusiastic banging of the drum.

The five-time NHL All-Star spent 11 of his 19 NHL seasons in net for the Panthers and currently serves as a special advisor to Panthers general manager Bill Zito.

Given how things went after Luongo hit the drum last season, this one seemed like a no-brainer for the Panthers.
