Did Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith just become best friends?

The way this season has gone, it seems like they have been for a while.

The two San Jose Sharks forwards added to their friendship lore on Tuesday, wearing matching T-shirts and hats.

The shirts had a photo of Celebrini and Smith posing together like the famous movie poster from the 2008 comedy “Step Brothers.”

All season long, the Sharks rookies have been having fun together, on and off the ice. Back in January, the two made a wager with each other surrounding their college hockey rivalry. When Smith’s alma mater Boston College beat Celebrini’s alma mater Boston University, Celebrini had to wear a BC jersey to the next Sharks game.

In March, the two planned a sleepover with Tyler Toffoli in their hotel room after all three of them scored in a win.

The only thing left, it seems, is for the two to turn their beds into bunk beds.
