Kings charity celeb skate

The Los Angeles Kings and NHL will host a celebrity and NHL All-Star Alumni charity game to aid in the recovery of the Los Angeles wildfires.

Actor Will Arnett and Kings president Luc Robitaille joined the NHL on TNT pregame show on Wednesday to announce the “Skate for LA Strong” event which will be held on Feb. 23 at Crypto.com Arena.

The game will benefit the LA Fire Relief Fund. All available tickets will be given to first responders and those displaced by the wildfires.

Arnett, who will participate in the game, called the event “special” and told the TNT crew how excited he was to be a part of it.

Robitaille said the idea for the event was to do more than just an ordinary fundraiser.

“We thought we wanted to do something better,” Robitaille said. “We talked with Commissioner Bettman too and the talk was instead of donating money, let’s do something that is very impactful. We are going to do a fundraiser on Feb. 23…The idea is we are going to get as many people in the building as possible.”
