Apparently three scores equates to a hat trick in any sport, even the NFL.

After Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley scored his third touchdown of the day during Sunday’s NFC Championship game, the NFL team had to double check with their NHL counterparts to see if that counted as a hat trick.

The Philadelphia Flyers confirmed, of course, using their mascot Gritty.

Behind Barkley’s “hat trick,” the Eagles went on to win the NFC Championship and clinch a spot in the upcoming Super Bowl.

The Flyers have been big supporters of the Eagles on social media throughout their playoff run.

We don’t expect that support to die down at any point in the next two weeks.
