McAvoy gifts his newborn puck from 1st goal after son’s birth

Charlie McAvoy had the new dad magic in him on Saturday.

The Boston Bruins defenseman scored a goal just days after becoming a father during the team’s matchup against the New York Rangers at TD Garden.

The defenseman notched a power-play goal in the first period to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead. It was his sixth goal of the season.

After the game, McAvoy posted a photo of the goal puck resting right next to his sleeping newborn, Rhys, to his Instagram story. The precious baby even had the perfect outfit on, sporting hockey pajamas in his crib.

McAvoy’s wife, Kiley, gave birth to their first child earlier this week.
