Ovechkin hangs with famous corgis Maxine, Hammy before Capitals Canines Night

Alex Ovechkin had some precious corgo on board.

The Washington Capitals forward met Maxine and Hammy, who are famous corgis on the Internet, before the team hosted their Canines Night at Capital One Arena on Tuesday.

In a video posted to social media, Ovechkin was introduced to his new furry friends before putting Maxine, who was wearing sunglasses, on his back and grabbed the leash of Hammy, who had on a Capitals jersey, for a walk around the arena.

Of course, the corgis earned a treat for behaving, which the Capitals star thought smelled good.

Both dogs received their own locker room stalls and posed for adorable pictures all over the complex.

Maxine and Hammy have over 3 million followers combined on Instagram where their owners post silly content featuring them.

Ovechkin wasn’t the only one who got to hang out with adorable dogs. Before the game, his teammates arrived with puppies who are available for adoption through Wolf Trap Animal Rescue.
