Eriksson Ek, who missed three, ranks fifth on the Wild with 44 points (17 goals, 27 assists) in 62 games. ... Forward Marcus Foligno (lower body) missed his 12th straight game and is day to day.

Pittsburgh Penguins

Evgeni Malkin (upper body) is day to day and did not play against the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday. The center played 16:05 in the Penguins' 5-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday. "Obviously, without 'G,' we've been doing it all year," captain Sidney Crosby said. "We've had different guys go out and everyone just steps up. We have to continue that mentality." Anthony Mantha is expected to replace Malkin at right wing on the second line. Malkin is fifth on the Penguins with 52 points (15 goals, 37 assists) in 50 games this season. ... Defenseman Ryan Shea could play after missing the game Sunday with an upper-body injury sustained on a hit from Winnipeg Jets forward Adam Lowry in a 5-4 shootout win Saturday. Detroit Red Wings

Dylan Larkin (lower body) returned against the Senators on Tuesday. The forward and Red Wings captain had missed their past seven games. Larkin is third on Detroit with 55 points (28 goals, 27 assists) in 63 games. "He's looked good in practice," Red Wings coach Todd McLellan said after the morning skate. "That being said, practice and game are way different at this time of the year. The physicality in practice isn't as high as it is, or was, in November. You're trying to conserve energy, but he's found ways to be physically be involved in practice and get himself ready, so we’ll know more at game time." Detroit had gone 3-3-1 without Larkin. "Any time you're out, it's hard to watch, more stressful to watch," Larkin said. "But I'm proud of the way the guys played. They battled, and they're in the fight, and I think (it's) inspiring to come back and join them and join them in how they've been battling."

Colorado Avalanche

Logan O'Connor made his season debut for the Avalanche against the Penguins on Tuesday. The 29-year-old forward had yet to play since having offseason hip surgery and a setback in his recovery. He had 21 points (10 goals, 11 assists) in 80 regular-season games last season and six points (two goals, four assists) in seven Stanley Cup Playoff games. Tuesday was his first game since May 5, 2025, against the Dallas Stars in Game 7 of the Western Conference First Round. "I've reflected a lot on how my 10-year-old self would look at this opportunity in front of me," O'Connor said. "And despite the setbacks, he'd do anything to be in the position I've been in this year, on a great team, and have the opportunity to come back at some point." ... Forward Ross Colton returned after missing six games with an upper-body injury he sustained in a 4-3 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on March 10. He has 23 points (eight goals, 15 assists) in 60 games this season.

After practice Monday, coach Craig Berube said Stolarz would be available to play in one of their next two games. Toronto hosts the New York Rangers on Wednesday. "It was a shot that came up high and kind of stung," Stolarz said. "Lost my wind there for a second and there was a little swelling, so it was more of a precautionary thing. Their medical staff thought it was just kind of necessary to go through the proper steps. Felt better yesterday and good enough to practice. Not much goes through your mind, just shock. It's an occupational hazard." … Goalie Dennis Hildeby was recalled from Toronto of the AHL on an emergency basis Monday. … Defenseman Morgan Rielly returned after missing one game with a lower-body injury. ... Buffalo Sabres

Jordan Greenway returned to practice Tuesday. The forward has been out with an undisclosed injury related to the multiple hernia surgeries he had last year. Greenway hasn't played since Jan. 22 but skated with the Sabres once or twice within the week that followed. "We'll see how he progresses through practice," coach Lindy Ruff said. "We'll get him some physicality. I thought watching him skate, (he) skated really well. What he tried seemed to have put him in a place where he may be able to play again." Greenway has five points (one goal, four assists) in 33 games this season.
