national tv schedule STL WPG

Each Monday throughout the 2024-25 NHL season, ESPN and NHL Network analyst Kevin Weekes will provide fans with a guide of games that will be nationally televised. Today, a look at games for the 26th week of the season.

Highlights include the St. Louis Blues going for their 13th consecutive win when they visit the Winnipeg Jets on "Prime Monday Night Hockey," and the Toronto Maple Leafs and Tampa Bay Lightning facing off in a key Atlantic Division matchup.

MONDAY, APRIL 7

St. Louis Blues at Winnipeg Jets (7:30 p.m. ET; PRIME, NHLN, FDSNMW)

The Blues have been the hottest team in the NHL with 12 straight wins following a 5-4 victory against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday. They've outscored opponents 51-22 during their winning streak, have vaulted into the top wild card in the West and could conceivably catch Colorado for third in the Central. The Jets are in a close battle with the Dallas Stars for first in the Central and have lost two of three.

TUESDAY, APRIL 8

Vegas Golden Knights at Colorado Avalanche (9:30 p.m. ET; ESPN, SN360)

Nathan MacKinnon, who enters the week atop the scoring race (115 points), and the Avalanche host Jack Eichel and the Golden Knights. Colorado's third-place standing in the Central would mean playing the Stars or Jets in the Western Conference First Round. Eichel has already set NHL career highs in assists (66) and points (93) for Vegas, which is five points ahead of the Los Angeles Kings for first in the Pacific.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9

Toronto Maple Leafs at Tampa Bay Lightning (7 p.m. ET; FDSNSUN, SN, TVAS)

This game could help determine the winner of the Atlantic Division and will be the second of a back to back for the Maple Leafs, who visit the Florida Panthers on Tuesday. Toronto has won four in a row, allowing a total of five goals in those games. Tampa Bay enters the week with four wins in its past six games and four points behind Toronto for first place. Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov is seeking his third Art Ross Trophy and second straight as NHL scoring leader. He has 112 points (33 goals, 79 assists) this season, three behind MacKinnon.

St. Louis Blues at Edmonton Oilers (10 p.m. ET; TVAS, SN360, SN1, SNE, SNO, SNP, TNT, truTV, MAX)

The Blues are 18-2-2 since returning from the 4 Nations Face-Off in February and have had a remarkable turnaround under coach Jim Montgomery, who was fired by the Boston Bruins on Nov. 19 and hired by the Blues five days later. The Oilers have had injuries to Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, though each is expected to return before the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Edmonton had won three straight prior to a 3-0 loss to the Kings on Saturday and is in a tight battle with Los Angeles for home ice in the first round in a likely playoff meeting for the fourth straight season between the teams.

THURSDAY, APRIL 10

Carolina Hurricanes at Washington Capitals (7:30 p.m. ET; Disney+, HULU, ESPN+, SN1)

Alex Ovechkin heads home five goals from 900 in the NHL after becoming the all-time leading goal scorer in NHL history with No. 895 in a 4-1 loss to the New York Islanders on Sunday. He has 52 goals in 92 games against the Hurricanes, his second-most against any team behind the Jets/Atlanta Thrashers (57 goals in 75 games). Carolina enters the week with two straight losses and hopes to avoid a three-game skid for just the third time this season.

SATURDAY, APRIL 12

Montreal Canadiens at Toronto Maple Leafs (7 p.m. ET; CBC, TVAS, SNE, SNO, SNP)

The Canadiens, who have won five in a row, hold the second wild card from the Eastern Conference and could be on their way to ending a four-season playoff drought. The Maple Leafs have won two of three against the Canadiens this season. This will be another tough test for them with four games this week against teams in playoff position.
