The Captains

A legacy of leadership

One of the greatest honors a player can receive during his career is being named the captain of his team. Wearing the "C" recognizes the player's contributions to the team both on and off the ice.

During the organization's time in the National Hockey League, the Lightning have had some great captains that provided leadership, power and direction. The following are the 10 players who have been the captain of the Bolts since Tampa Bay joined the NHL in 1992, with Steven Stamkos currently leading the club.
