A look at the game “by the numbers.”

  • The Kraken did not win the shot volume or quality battle overall but buoyed by a strong second period, they were able to earn the win. Across 50 minutes of 5-on-5 play, Seattle generated 45.4-percent of all shot volume (61.3% in period two).
  • The line that had the most influence offensively was the trio of Shane Wright, Jared McCann, and Andre Burakovsky. They were plus-1 in shot attempts, 5-0 in shots on goal, and generated 95.6-percent of all shot quality.
  • This was the eleventh game for the Kraken this season with 5-plus goal scorers and the eighth game where 11-plus players had at least one point.
  • When Seattle joined the NHL, Vancouver won the first six games between the two teams but with tonight’s win, the Kraken have now won six of the last eight.
  • With two goals tonight, Eeli Tolvanen tied a career high in goals (18, 2022-23) and also reached 50 goals scored with Seattle.
  • Matty Beniers scored his fourteenth goal of the season and his sixth (all-time) against the Canucks. That ties the most goals he’s scored against a single opponent in his career (Anaheim, 6). It’s also his third straight game with a goal against Vancouver.
  • Brandon Montour's goal was his eleventh of the season, tying him with Vince Dunn for most among all Seattle defenders. The Kraken are the only team in the NHL with multiple defenders with 11-plus goals this season.
  • Shane Wright (6-14-20 in 23 GP) assisted on both of Seattle’s first two goals and has 20 points since Jan. 1, which is the most by any Kraken player in that span.
  • Joey Daccord saved .7 more goals than he should have based on the shot quality he faced and earned his twenty-fifth quality start of the season.
  • The top Kraken players in the game according to Game Score were Tolvanen, McCann, Josh Mahura, Ryker Evans, and Burakovsky. They ranked 3-7 overall.
