A look at the game “by the numbers.”

+ In 5-on-5 play tonight, the Kraken generated 54.55-percent of all shot attempts. It’s the second-highest percentage for the team in any game this season. They did not enjoy the same advantage in shot quality with 38.8-percent of all expected goals.

+ In all situations, the Kraken did keep pace with the Stars generating just .1 fewer expected goals than Dallas did.

+ Seattle also matched Dallas in slot shots on net (11); and had just one fewer slot driving plays (23 versus 24 for Dallas) and high danger scoring chances (13 versus 12).

+ The Kraken had eleven odd man rushes while only allowing ten against.

+ The line centered by Berkly Catton (with Jared McCann and Shane Wright on the wings) played 5:15 together and were plus-4 in shot attempts with a whopping 98-percent of all shot quality when on the ice.

+ Matty Beniers' line had the primary responsibility of defending Dallas’ top line and also saw significant time against their second line that includes the lethal Jason Robertson and while the Stars tilted the ice their way in some of those minutes, both Mikko Rantanen and Robertson were held off the scoresheet.

+ Chandler Stephenson led all skaters in offensive zone possession time (1:18) and only Mikko Rantanen had more than Vince Dunn and Beniers.

+ McCann and Catton each had two shots from the slot. Catton also added one off the rush.

+ McCann was the highest-rated Kraken skater according to Game Score.
