Ohsun Banchan

I’m Sara, Oshun Banchan's owner and cook based out of Seattle. So far in my food career, I’ve been a food blogger, cookbook author, pop-up cook, and in 2022, a restaurant. It’s important to me that I serve the food and flavors I like to eat, and not concentrate on fusion or elevating a dish. Equally as important, I do not let tradition put me into a box. My food is my identity: Bold and patient from Korean flavors with seasonal inspiration from the Pacific Northwest and a touch of Southern roots. I’m just a person who loves to feed people. Because I care so much for the ones that I’m serving, I make sure the meal will give them comfort. This is why the art of banchan is so important to me: everyone walks away satisfied.

Tai Tung Chinese Restaurant

Tai Tung is the oldest surviving Chinese restaurant in the International District of Seattle. It was started in 1935 by Grandpa Quan. Quan always insisted on using the freshest ingredients available so that the quality of our Chinese food is second to none. This simple commitment to basics has never faltered.
