What is Little Kings?

Welcome to the Little Kings Program, where new hockey players are made! Our program is an introductory experience for children ages 5-9, designed to build confidence, teach teamwork, and ignite your child’s passion for hockey. Through a USA Hockey-approved format of on-ice instruction, we blend fun-filled activities with essential skill-building drills. The Little Kings Program aims to ensure every child feels the thrill of hockey and the joy of being part of the hockey community. Join us on this exciting journey and watch your child transform into a hockey player!

Special Guests

When your player joins Little Kings, they will have the exciting opportunity to be coached by a special guest for at least one of their sessions! Each of our guest coaches boasts an impressive resume in hockey and is enthusiastic about sharing their extensive knowledge with your Little Kings.

Derek Armstrong

Derek Armstrong is a former NHL center who played for New York Islanders, Los Angeles Kings, and St. Louis Blues. Known for his leadership and playmaking skills, he transitioned to coaching after retiring from professional play, inspiring the next generation of players. He also contributes as a hockey analyst, sharing his insights and expertise on various sports networks.

Blake Bolden

Blake Bolden is a trailblazing former professional ice hockey player and the first Black woman to compete in the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL). She has won both the Clarkson Cup and the Isobel Cup, showcasing her exceptional skills and leadership. She now serves as a scout for the LA Kings and is dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion in hockey.

Manon Rhéaume

Manon Rhéaume is a pioneering former ice hockey goaltender and the first woman to play in an NHL game. She won a silver medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics and gold medals at the 1992 and 1994 IIHF Women’s World Championships with Team Canada. She looks to inspire future generations as a guest coach, sharing her groundbreaking experiences and expertise.

Jordan Nolan

Jordan Nolan is a former NHL forward and three-time Stanley Cup champion with the Los Angeles Kings and St. Louis Blues. Known for his physical play and leadership, he now dedicates his time to mentoring young athletes. As a guest coach, he shares his extensive experience and passion for the game. He also actively supports indigenous youth through various community programs.
