The Capitals enter tonight’s game against the San Jose Sharks looking to remain unbeaten on their current four-game road trip (2-0-0 through 2 GP) and extend their season-long winning streak to six games. The Capitals, who have won eight of their last nine games, defeated the Los Angeles Kings 3-1 on Tuesday at Crypto.com Arena. Washington has allowed two or fewer goals against in four of its last five games and in 15 of its 27 games this season.

The Capitals’ five-game winning streak (Nov. 24 – Dec. 2: 5-0-0) marks their longest since March 3-11, 2025 (5-0-0). With a win tonight, Washington would match its longest winning streak from all of last season (Jan. 11-23, 2025: 6-0-0). During the five-game run, the Capitals have outscored the opposition 20-8 at all strengths and 13-6 at 5v5. Fifteen of the 17 skaters who have played in all five games have registered at least one point, led by Tom Wilson’s nine points (5g, 4a). The Capitals have also held their opponents to 25 shots or fewer in four of the five games.

In addition, Washington has won three straight games on the road and is 4-1-0 in its last five road games dating back to Nov. 11.
