MONTREAL - Sean Farrell, Lane Hutson and Luke Tuch will represent the United States at the 2023 IIHF World Championship in Tampere, Finland, and Riga, Latvia from May 12 to 28.

Farrell, 21, participated in the event last year and registered six points (2 G, 4 A) in 10 games.

The forward registered a whopping 53 points (20 G, 33 A) in 34 games with the Harvard Crimson. He made his pro debut with the Canadiens on March 28 and scored his first-ever NHL goal one game later against the Florida Panthers.

He was a fourth-round pick, 124th overall, in the 2020 NHL Draft.

Meanwhile, Hutson has been remarkable in his first season with Boston University. With 15 goals and 48 points in 39 games, the rearguard led the Terriers to the NCAA's Hockey East regular season title and a spot in the Frozen Four.

He reaped the rewards, accordingly, winning the Hockey East scoring title - the first-ever defenseman to do so - was named a Hockey East First Team All-Star and announced as the Hockey East Rookie of the Year, among many other accolades.

Hutson was selected in the second round, 62nd overall, in the 2022 NHL Draft.

He will be joined by fellow Terrier Luke Tuch. Both will be making their World Championship debuts this year.

A second-round selection in the 2020 NHL Draft, Tuch has spent three seasons with BU and was named an assistant captain this season. The forward tallied 20 points (9 G, 11 A) in 40 games.

He will don the Stars and Stripes alongside brother Alex, who plays for the Buffalo Sabres.

Tuch was drafted in the second round, 47th overall, in the 2020 NHL Draft.

A total of four members of the Canadiens organization will participate in the event so far.

They join goaltender Sam Montembeault, who will represent Team Canada.

Team USA opens its tournament on May 12 against Finland at 9:20 a.m. ET, while the Canadians will take on Latvia at 1:20 p.m. ET.
